Welcome to our Retired Horses page. Some of our past horses will be listed here so you can see the history of our equine friends. Many of the horses have come to live out their days in a well-deserved retirement. Some spend their days grazing in the grass and lazy about in the pasture. Others have become companions to other horses or have been adopted by other family.

Thoroughbreds Ginger Snap- Bay Lace Snowcap Mare Ginger Snap was one of the foundation stock and one of the very first horses at Crystal Dragon Ranch. The beautiful bay mare sported a white lacy snowcap and served as a broodmare at the ranch. She had seven foals three of which had special traits. She produced several shades of bay, one blue roan, and a red chestnut the only to inherit her snowcap pattern. Ginger Snap is now working in physical therapy. Silver Varnish-Grey Varnish Mare Silver Varnish was another foundation stock horse and also one of the very first horses at Crystal Dragon Ranch with her pasture mate, Ginger Snap. This grey lightly varnished Thoroughbred started the line of traited foals baring the "Prefers Dirt" speical trait. While she only produced five foals, three of the foals inherited the trait from their dam and in which later passed it on to their own foals. Silver Varnish is now a pleasure horse for a teenager.
